I am a proud owner to a rescue cat named Kittopie and a mischief of 3 rats Casper, Bear and Teensy. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and I’ve owned many pets such as fish, birds and hamsters. I have a major soft spot for rescue animals and any animals with a bad reputation. Even though I’ve been questioned and made fun of for owning rats, they have my whole heart and I truly believe they’re amazing pets. Cats are much more popular pets but here in south africa we have overcrowded shelters and streets full of strays because people prefer kittens to adult cats.
When I was younger I wanted to study veterinary science or zoology but I never enjoyed academic subjects. I kept with volunteering while I finished school and even though my current career has little to do with animals, I hope to own my own shelter one day.
